Last weekend the Mountain’s Edge Master Association celebrated Easter with three events for Mountain’s Edge residents.
Egg Decorating Party
The Egg Decorating Party was a hit! This was the first time the Master Association has done this event. The Master Association supplied the egg dye and stickers, and residents brought their own hard boiled eggs. It was a great turn out for a first time event. Approximately 150 people attended, and everyone seemed to have a great time.
Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt
This was another first time event. It was meant for kids that are too old for the other Easter Egg Hunts, but there were some smaller children that participated. There was a great DJ, an inflatable obstacle course, pizza and of course the flashlight egg hunt. The eggs were spread out across Nathaniel Jones Park. There were 10 eggs containing prize slips for Walmart, iTunes and Poppy’s Yogurt gift cards. There were more than 100 kids in attendance, and they had a blast on the obstacle course.
This year’s Eggstravaganza was a huge success! More than 3,000 people attended, and the hunt for the 2 and under age group was bigger than ever. The Master Association handed out about 1,100 treat bags, which everyone loved. There were five carnival games spread throughout the event that were always being used. The Pancake Eating Contest was so much fun again this year, and the Pancake Breakfast raised more than $1,100 in donations for the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program.
