National Night Out Event Celebrates Heroes on Oct. 1
Free event combines fun, superhero lessons with neighborhood unity,
law enforcement partners and crime prevention

Dress up as your favorite superhero and meet local first responder heroes at National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The free family-friendly event brings the community together to celebrate the brave men and women who protect us and put their lives on the line everyday, and to recognize “the hero in all of us”. It will be outside from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mountain’s Edge Marketplace, 7975 Blue Diamond Road. The shopping center is just west of the Mountain’s Edge Master Planned Community main entrance.

Law enforcement personnel, including mounted police officers and their horses and police dogs, from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Enterprise Area Command will be on hand to meet attendees.

The fun and educational festivities also include superhero lessons, classic and current police vehicles, a fire truck, entertainment, vendor booths, giveaways, food trucks, community resource information, face painting, superhero costumes and more.

This event is being held with other National Night Out events held annually in Southern Nevada and throughout the country to meet first responders and promote crime prevention awareness, neighborhood spirit and unity, and community-law enforcement partnerships.

In conjunction with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Enterprise Area Command, this National Night Out community gathering is presented by the Mountain’s Edge Master Association, Albertson’s, Anthem BlueCross BlueShield and Vons.
