On Saturday, May 7th the old west once again thrived in the New Southwest! Our annual Country in the Park festival at Exploration Park was a blast and provided non-stop family entertainment. Kids had the opportunity to ride ponies, play in bounce houses, mine for gems, and meet their favorite animals in the petting zoo. Those over 21 were equally entertained with the festival’s newest addition, the Budweiser Beer Garden. And we all enjoyed the performances from the popular Tony Marques Band, as well as Academy of Country Music Awards-nominated singers David Nail and Lee Brice. Many who visited also took advantage of line dancing lessons, 25 food vendors, and of course, Exploration Park’s volleyball courts, picnic areas, horseshoe pits, playground and splash pad and walking trails. Country in the Park not only provided a fun-filled day, but it also raised $1,265 for Spread the Word Nevada: Kids to Kids.

Country in the Park was presented by Mountain’s Edge and Vegas Country 95.5 KWNR.
